Sundance Circle Hippotherapy: Unmounted Outdoor Therapy
Located in Sumner Washington, Sundance Circle Hippotherapy also provides unmounted outdoor occupational therapy
Why do unmounted outdoor occupational therapy?
Our new outdoor areas for occupational therapy will provide all the elements essential for any traditional OT session such as motor skills, executive functioning, attention, sensory modulation, amongst other areas! OT in an outdoor setting provides a unique experience for addressing a variety of functional goals. Outdoor spaces are shown to provide sensory experiences which assist with attention, mental health, and overall well-being. OT sessions will at times include unmounted engagement with horses and address areas such as social-emotional skills and grooming and hygiene. Our clinic is surrounded by beautiful farmland, natural light, and a quiet atmosphere which provides a great place for children with sensitivity to sensory experiences.
